Þar er líka allt vaðandi í hjónaskilnuðum sem og spádómum sem sjaldnast er þó nokkuð skeytt um. Vilborg Davíðsdóttir rithöfundur flytur erindi þar sem hún rýnir í þessa þætti Laxdælu og rekur hvernig þar birtist sýn fyrri tíma á kynhlutverkin og sterk forlagatrú Íslendinga – sem ekki er enn með öllu horfin.
