Sunday, 8 February, 1 pm - 3 pm Hafnarborg offers Multilingual editing workshop where participants create their dream home and consider what matters, what we want in our home, and what we dream of. We will work with collages alongside drawing, where ideas about home spring from the imagination. Animals, fantastical shapes and houses floating in space are very much welcome. The workshop will be conducted in Czech, Icelandic, English and German, led by Marie Vesela and Anne Rombach.

The workshop takes place on the ground floor of the museum and is open to all age groups. No previous artistic experience is required, but children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. As always, participation in workshops as well as admission to the exhibiThe museum offers free admission to visitors.

In My Language is a series of events that aims to increase access to Hafnarborg for people from diverse backgrounds by welcoming visitors in different languages. The event is a collaboration between Hafnarborg and the organisation GETU, which, through a variety of events and social activities, seeks to promote inclusion and positive multiculturalism. The project is supported by the museum fund.

Marie Vesela She is an art teacher from Prague, Czech Republic, who founded the Reykjavík Collage Club (www.rvkcollageclub.com) in 2023. She emphasises a gentle and open approach, encouraging everyone to find their own way into their creativity, where exploration and joy are more important in the process than the final outcome itself.

Anne Rombach is a German artist who lives and works in Iceland. She studied photography at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig and holds an MA in Fine Art from the Iceland Academy of the Arts, where she is currently undertaking postgraduate studies in „Arts and Welfare“.
