An open house will be held on Tuesday, 29th July from 9 am to 4 pm at Norðurhellu 2, 221 Hafnarfjörður, where the proposal for a new detailed plan, along with the environmental report, for Phase 4 of Hellnahraun will be available for viewing.
New detailed plan, Hellnahraun 4th Phase
The Hafnarfjörður Town Board, on behalf of the Town Council, approved at its meeting on 10 July to advertise a new detailed plan in accordance with section 1 of article 43 of the Planning Act No. 123/2010. A total of 66 industrial plots of varying sizes are proposed, intended for light, clean industry or services. The area is defined as an industrial area in the 2013–2025 Master Plan for Hafnarfjörður and is located south of the driving and shooting range in Kapelluhraun. The consultation period is for 28 August 2025 and the proposal can be accessed on the planning portal website. skipulagsgatt.is and hfj.is/organisation.
