The annual conference of the Planning Authority
Planning Day is an annual conference on planning matters, organised by the Planning Authority and the Association of Icelandic Local Authorities. As usual, we will focus on the most pressing issues in planning. The programme for this year's Planning Day is two-part, in the morning, the spotlight will be on the development of land use and settlement in rural areas, where we will hear, among other things, a presentation on settlement development and future prospects for population growth, as well as an update on the status and development of land use in rural areas. In the afternoon, the focus will turn to housing issues and development in urban areas, where we will consider the quality of housing planning and development.
As usual, there will be a diverse group of keynote speakers and experts in the panel discussions, but a more detailed programme will be announced closer to the date. Professionals, elected representatives and all those interested in planning are encouraged to save the date. The participation fee is 10,000 krónur, which includes morning coffee, lunch and afternoon refreshments. The participation fee for students is 5,000 krónur.
