18 authors from Hafnarfjörður read aloud

Flumbra, the association of writers from Hafnarfjörður, is holding a reading at Hafnarborg on Saturday, 13th December. A variety of fiction for all ages will be read, including both amusing stories and beautiful poems.

Writers with ties to Hafnarfjörður recently founded an association which was named Flumbra after one of Guðrún Helgadóttir's characters. Guðrún was, as is well known, from Hafnarfjörður, where numerous writers live or have lived. Nearly thirty authors are associated with the new society, and now eighteen of them are set to present their work at Hafnarborg.

The following authors will be reading: Bergrún Íris Sævarsdóttir, Brynhildur Auðbjargardóttir, Brynhildur Þórarinsdóttir, Draumey Aradóttir, Eygló Jónsdóttir, Gunnar Helgason, Hrund Apríl Guðmundsdóttir, Ingi Markússon, Kristín Ómarsdóttir, Lárus Jón, Sigurlin Bjarney Gísladóttir, Símon Jón Jóhannsson, Sindri Freyr, Æsa Strand Viðarsdóttir, Þórdís Dröfn, Þórdís Gísladóttir, Þórdís Helgadóttir.

The reading starts at 12:30 and runs until 17:00. Admission is free, and people can come and go as they please throughout the day. New and recent books by authors from Hafnarfjörður will be available on the premises at good prices.
