Friday, 19th May at 6 p.m. the singers, the songwriters, the showgirls and the friends Rebekka Blöndal and Marina Ósk appear at the final Afternoon Tones of the winter in Hafnarborg, as the girls have certainly made a splash on the Icelandic music scene in recent terms.

Not only did they both release albums in August 2022 and hold separate release concerts at the Reykjavík Jazz Festival, but they also went on to win at the Icelandic Music Awards in March 2023, Rebekka for Vocal Performance of the Year in the Jazz category and Marína for Composition of the Year in the same category. Their albums, Poem by Rebekka and One Evening in July by Marína, which has received critical acclaim, as well as excellent play and streams on streaming platforms.

Rebekka and Marína have worked together for a long time and have a great track record of collaborations, but at the concert they will perform their own songs from the aforementioned albums, as well as several well-chosen duets. Alongside Rebekka and Marína, they play Andrés Þór on guitar and Andri Ólafsson on the bass.

The concert lasts for about an hour and is free of charge.
