Friday, 18 September at 6 p.m. will trio Rebekku Blöndal appear on the first Afternoon Tones at Hafnarborg this autumn. With Rebekka, they play Andrés Þór on guitar and Thorgrimur Jónsson on the double bass.
The concert programme will feature a diverse selection of songs by Rebekka, including both older works and new material. Songs from her newly-released album will also be performed., Maybe, which has been well-received and critically acclaimed. The music on the album could be described as more personal and warmer, where Icelandic lyrics, melodic songwriting and influences from jazz and contemporary pop meet.
In recent years, Rebekka Blöndal has attracted attention for her personal and sensitive performance, and here, guests have the opportunity to experience her music in an intimate and live setting.
The concert lasts for about an hour and is free of charge.
