The red of the fish after Runeword, Sigrúnu Guðjónsdóttur, which is now being published by the Bókabeitan publishing house, in Icelandic and in an English translation by the author. Layout and cover design were handled by Blær Guðmundsdóttir.

The red fish It was first published in 1972 and then in 1988 with the illustrations that this edition features. In the story, text and pictures effortlessly blend into a single whole that is at once exciting and captivating. This gives new generations the opportunity to discover this classic gem of Icelandic children's literature.

The book tells the story of little Simba, who is the only red fish in a blue sea. He embarks on a journey in the hope of finding more fish like him. The reader follows little Simba through hot and cold seas – sometimes he is scared, sometimes he is impressed, but always hopeful of achieving his goal: to find a little, red playmate and grasp happiness.

Throughout a long and varied career, Rúnu's creative work has found expression in ceramics, book illustration, painting and design. She has received various accolades over the years, such as the Order of the Falcon and the Icelandic Design Award.
