On Seafarers' Day, a celebration will be held. A festive service at Víðistaðakirkja where seafarers and their role in the life of the nation are honoured.
Before the service, at. 10:30, will be A wreath was laid at the memorial by the church. In memory of the seafarers who have disappeared at sea and never returned home.
💙 All are warmly welcome to come together in respect and gratitude – to remember, reflect and celebrate the important work of seafarers, past and present.
🕚 Lunchtime concert at 12:30
Lunchtime concert by the Choir of Víðistaðasókn in Víðistaðakirkja at 12:30. Admission is free, but voluntary donations will be gratefully received for the choir's travel fund.
