The Bomb-makers who has gained a good reputation for their interpretation of sizzling hot Latin music. The repertoire will have a different format to the traditional Los Bomboneros programme, which is usually characterised by danceable music. Here, however, the folk traditions of South America will be honoured in a more subdued atmosphere with brand-new arrangements from the band. There is plenty to choose from, featuring hits made famous by the singer Mercedes Souza and the crooner Julio Jaramillo, along with other treats, ranging from the triple-time rhythms of the Andean nations to the plaintive singing of a Mexican mariachi singer.

Los Bomboneros appoint them Alexandra Kjeld (vocals, bass), Daniel Helgason (three guitars), Kristofer Rodriguez Swanason (percussion) and Sigrún Kristbjörg Jónsdóttir (trumpet, violins). However, their concerts often turn into a sweaty dance party, although the band will now be offering a different atmosphere.

The concert lasts for about an hour and is free of charge.

The concert series is supported by the City of Hafnarfjörður and the Rannís Music Fund.
