Sunday, 13 September at 11:28 Hafnarborg will be opened earlier than usual in connection with the work. Daniel Ágúst Ágústsson, 11:28-15:32 _ 13.09.26, which is part of the museum's autumn exhibition the margin, curated by Katrín Björg Gunnarsdóttir and Úlfur Bragi Einarsson. The work also takes into account the sunlight streaming through the circular window in the gable of Hafnarborg, and Daníel has specifically traced the path of the light as it streams through the window on this particular day, 13th September, from 11:28 to 15:32.

In his work, Daniel often works with the characteristics of each exhibition space. Here, he directs the viewer's gaze to both the window and the light, as the eyes search the space for light and visitors discover something that exists outside the work itself. However, what the work shows is only one manifestation of this ever-changing phenomenon that moves through the space from day to day. On the margin the focus is thus directed towards the space itself and the possibilities that lie in the unseen or forgotten, in the void which is in fact never empty.

Daniel Ágúst Ágústsson is an artist and fashion designer based in Reykjavík. In his artistic practice, he creates large-scale installations and sculptures, where materials and methods are often in active dialogue with the surrounding space, drawing attention to the work's environment. The artist will also be present in the space, giving visitors the opportunity to chat with them and experience the work in the moment it refers to.
