We've put together a fun programme at Ásvallalaug and Suðurbæjarlaug for the occasion of Swimming Pool Night in the capital region! Yes, it's going to be great fun. Events for the whole family, for everyone young and old.

South Bay Pool – free from 4pm-6pm

• 5 pm – The Sykátu Zumbees lead Aqua Zumba
• It is recommended to bring a hat or a swimming cap!

The Andaleikarnir at Ásvallalaug – free from 4pm-8pm!

Visitors to Ásvallalaug will get to experience a unique evening where all sorts of ducks will be in charge.

  • 5pm and 6pm – Water Bomb Competition – Who can get the biggest splash?
  • 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. – Diving competition – Who can reach the ducks on the bottom of the pool?
  • Prizes on offer!
• 4pm – 8pm – Donald Duck on the big screen!

Swimming will be free from 4 p.m. in the many swimming pools of the capital region. Swimming Pool Night is part of the Winter Festival – www.vetrarhatid.is – which is taking place from 6th to 9th February. All municipalities in the capital region are taking part in the festival. The events in the pools will be of various kinds, and visitors will get to experience a unique and unusual evening in the magical darkness. Fancy some good fun? Everyone is welcome.
