Christmas was seen off with dance and song at Thorsplan!
Together, we will see out the Christmas season and the year 2025 with dance and song at Thorsplan in the heart of Hafnarfjörður! Where the Christmas festivities in Hafnarfjörður begin each year. The Lotta Theatre Group, featuring Skjóða, Langlegg, Grýla and Lúða, will take to the stage at Thorsplan to get the party started, singing a carefully selected set of songs and performing a best-of showcase. This year, the celebration takes place in the Christmas Village on Thorsplan, and the festivities begin promptly at 5 p.m. The celebration concludes at approximately 5:45 p.m. with a spectacular fireworks display, hosted by the Hafnarfjörður Rescue Squad, in front of the Fjörður shopping centre.
Attention dog owners and other pet owners
Please note that the firework display will begin at 17:45 and will last for 5–10 minutes. Dog owners are encouraged to give their dogs extra cuddles during this short time and perhaps even keep them at home while the firework display is taking place.
