Go back in time and experience the Viking spirit! At 29. The Viking Festival in Hafnarfjörður A great number of Vikings from all over – more than 150 Vikings from Iceland and abroad are taking part in this spectacular family festival.
🔥 On the agenda:
- Combat shows and Viking games
- Crafts, smithing and herbal dyeing
- Viking school for children
- Archery and axe-throwing (for a small fee – proceeds go to the festival)
- A variety of stalls, food and drink 🍗🍻
- Lectures on interesting topics about the Vikings
🛡️ Rimmugýgur and the Vikings warmly welcome you to the festival, which is held on 13–18 June – and admission is free every day!

Annual Viking festival in Hafnarfjörður on Víðistaðatún
Everyone is welcome to come and browse the market stalls, watch the Vikings fight and let the children try out all sorts of games.
