There will be a half-term holiday in the primary schools and the Hafnarfjörður Music School on Monday 24th February and Tuesday 25th February. To mark the occasion, the Healthy City of Hafnarfjörður invites children and their families to take part in a fun programme during the winter break and to find great ideas for fun and varied activities for the whole family across Hafnarfjörður on the city's website. Among other things, there is free swimming for children and adults on these two days at Ásvallalaug, Suðurbæjarlaug and Sundhöll Hafnarfjarðar.

Monday 24 February 

• FREE Swimming from 6:30-22 at Ásvallalaug and Suðurbæjarlaug, and at the Sundhöll until 21:00. 
• A new treasure hunt in the Packhouse for children and a children's tour of the Hafnarfjörður Folk Museum at 1 p.m. Open 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.  
• On Hafnarfjörður Library The games room will be open all day, with a new Harry Potter scavenger hunt from 9am-12pm and mask-making in the children's section from 1pm-4pm!
• Í Port city A multilingual sculpture workshop with Lukas Bury and Ingunn Fjóla Ingþórsdóttir from 13:00 to 15:00.

Tuesday, 25 February

• FREE SWIMMING from 6:30-22 at Ásvallalaug and Suðurbæjarlaug, and at the Sundhöll until 21. Children's programmes and films on the big screen at Ásvallalaug 11-16!
• A new treasure hunt in the Packhouse for children. Interesting exhibitions at the Hafnarfjörður Folk Museum. Open 11 am–3 pm.
• On Hafnarfjörður Library The games room will be open all day, face painting in the children's section from 12-15, a troll workshop with Vilborg Bjarkadóttir from 13-15 in the multipurpose hall, and a new Harry Potter scavenger hunt from 13-16. The Geek Club/VR will be on site from 15:15-17 in the multipurpose hall.
• Í Port city There will be a sculpture workshop with Anna Hrund Másdóttir from 1 pm to 3 pm.
