The primary schools and the Hafnarfjörður Music School will be closed for the winter break on Thursday, 19th February and Friday, 20th February. Monday, 23rd February will then be a joint planning day for the nursery and primary schools. To mark the occasion, the Healthy City of Hafnarfjörður invites children and their families to take part in a fun programme during the winter break and to find great ideas for fun and varied activities throughout Hafnarfjörður for the whole family.

Thursday, 19 February

• Hafnarfjörður Badminton Club from 10 am – 2 pm – Take the paddle Open house at the Sports Hall on Strandgata. Everyone welcome to come and try badminton and table tennis.
• Port city from 1 pm – 3 pm – Let's make flowers In the workshop, participants draw inspiration from the exhibition of Eggert Pétursson, Red, where colours, organic forms and a close connection with nature are the focus. As a result, we create small and beautiful flowers from delicate wire and pearls, working with line, form and balance in a playful and imaginative way.
• Ásvallalaug from 14:00 – 16:00 Water polo in the pool. Come and try running around inside a ball on water!
• Free entry to all events during the winter holiday in Hafnarfjörður – Free all day at Ásvallalaug and Sundhöll Hafnarfjarðar.

Friday, 20 February

• Port city from 1 pm – 3 pm – Sketch workshop The writer and artist Atla Hrafney will guide participants into the world of comics, where we will try our hand at creating our own characters, telling stories with pictures and text, and developing ideas in a free and playful way. The workshop is ideal for those who are always drawing something fun or want to learn how to create funny comics.
• Hafnarfjörður Library from 1 pm – 3 pm – Pokémon Workshop Trading and games. Kids can bring their own cards, battle each other, play Pokémon and more. Drawings and cartoons, battles and battles at the library.
• South Bay Pool from 1 pm – 4 pm – „The fungus kicks in“ Games, balls and noodles in the mushroom and snakes!
• Free admission to all events during the winter holiday in Hafnarfjörður – Free all day at the Suðurbær Pool and the Hafnarfjörður Swimming Pool.

Monday, 23 February
