Opportunities for play and discovery
The Norðurberg Nursery School is located in the north of Hafnarfjörður and opened on 16 August 1982. Today, Norðurberg is a six-unit nursery school with space for 101 children at any one time and up to 34 staff members. The nursery's surroundings are very special and beautiful. The lava fields, moss, abundant tree growth, lava pots or rocks, and not to mention the seafront, are all within or just outside the nursery grounds, providing many opportunities for play and discovery.
