The community gardens are open to all residents, and it is a great opportunity for families and others to grow their own vegetables this summer.
The family allotments are open at Víðistaðir, and if demand is high, there is a possibility of opening allotments at the top of Öldugata. The cost for one allotment is kr. 1,500, and for two allotments the payment is kr. 2,500. Unlike previous years, vegetables or other ingredients are not included, but access to water and basic tools will be provided. The plots are supplied tilled and allocation began at the end of May.

You must bring proof of payment to the Vinnuskóli Hafnarfjarðar office and select a garden plot. The Vinnuskóli Hafnarfjarðar offices are located at Hrauntunga 5 and are open every weekday between 8 am and 4 pm.
