Financial Conference 2016
The Annual Municipal Finance Conference 2016 will be held on 22 and 23 September at the Hilton Reykjavik Nordica.
Talks will be given on a variety of topics concerning the finance and administration of local authorities. Three talks are from the City of Hafnarfjörður.
The annual municipal finance conference 2016 will be held
on 22 and 23 September at the Hilton Reykjavik Nordica. The conference begins at 10 am on Thursday with
Speech by the chairman of the Association of Icelandic Municipalities, Halldór Halldórsson.
At the financial conference, presentations will be given on a variety of topics which
deal with the finances and public administration of municipalities. On the first day, among other things, material will be covered that
concerning the economy and financial performance of local authorities in 2015, changes to
pension schemes for public servants, infrastructure development for tourists, framework agreements
on the services of nursing homes and increased council tax revenue from tourists. The latter
