Playground/play area at Smáralundur this summer

This summer, a play area/playground will be operated at the Smáralund nursery school, Smárabarði 1. The play area will be open from 09:00-12:00 and 13:00-16:00, the weeks of 22nd July – 26th July and 29th July – 2nd August. The playground is for children aged 3-5 years old (born 2019-2021).You can register through Vala and buy a 5 or 10-visit card. One visit on the card is equivalent to a morning or afternoon session (1 visit = a maximum of 3 hours' care).

General information for parents

• The children need to be dressed for the weather.
• The playground is for outdoor play only and cannot be a substitute for a nursery.
• It is recommended that young children are not left for more than 1.5 hours at a time.
• The conditions are not suitable for changing children, so they must be able to use the toilet themselves.
• It's a good idea to bring a water bottle and some light refreshments.
