Beauty Contest 2016 – Awards for Businesses

The companies Héðinn, Krónan, and Te & kaffi are considered good examples of corporate tidiness and general upkeep. They recently received an award from the City of Hafnarfjörður for their tidiness. With these awards, the City of Hafnarfjörður aims to raise public interest in the beautification of the town's environment by drawing attention to exemplary businesses, which should thus serve as an inspiration for others to take action.

A cleaning challenge for businesses in Hafnarfjörður

From 15th to 30th September, businesses in Hafnarfjörður can return timber and iron to specially designated containers at three locations in the town.  With this initiative, the City of Hafnarfjörður aims to bring the service closer to businesses, thereby encouraging more to take part in making the industrial areas of Hafnarfjörður tidier. A clean appearance affects perception and business, and the direct contribution of all businesses is crucial for the appearance of Hafnarfjörður's business and industrial areas.
