Gratitude at Christmas – the Mayor's Christmas Reflection 2021
The days are now beginning to lengthen once more, and soon the light will prevail. We can be thankful for that. At the same time, it is good to pause and give thanks for what we have. To give thanks for our health, our family, our friends, and for whatever it is that brightens our lives. To give thanks for all the little things, the warm company or the simple moments that bring us true joy and are priceless. At the same time, our thoughts are with those who are struggling, are ill, are missing loved ones, or for whom the Christmas period is a difficult time for other reasons.
