The annual volunteer day of the Hafnarfjörður Forestry Society will be on Sunday, 27 September from 11:00 to 13:00: Plants will be planted in Vatnshlíðar-lundi by Hvaleyrarvatn.
Vatnshlíð Arboretum is a memorial arboretum for the couple Hjálmar R. Bárðarson and Else S. Bárðarson.
Meet at Vatnshlíð, north of Hvaleyrarvatn, on the right-hand side as you drive down to Hvaleyrarvatn from Kaldárselsvegur. Refreshments will be served at Þöll after the planting.
