Hafnarfjörður today became one of the first municipalities in the country to install a fast-charging station for electric cars, located at the Fjörður shopping centre. It provides 50 kilowatts of fast charging and 22 kilowatts of slow charging. The station is connected to Ísorka's software system, allowing users to monitor their electricity consumption via the website. www.isorka.is and the Ísorku app. The station is easily accessible for people with reduced mobility. The station and its installation are funded by a grant from the Energy Fund. Initially, charging electric vehicles at the station will be free of charge, but a possible fee may be introduced at a later stage.
