Hiring for the 2024 Pride Parade
We, the people of Hafnarfjörður, had our own representatives at the Queer Pride Parade. The Pride Parade is the highlight for queer people, who come together to affirm their existence and to draw attention to their causes.
More people than ever in the parade!
Rarely, if ever, have more people taken part in the Pride parade than this year. It was the 25th time the parade had taken place, and the city centre was packed with people. We, the people of Hafnarfjörður, had our own representative in the 40-car procession. The joy was immense, the weather was brilliant and the atmosphere was wonderful.
The Pride Parade is the highlight of Pride Week. In it, lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and pansexuals, trans people, intersex people and other queer individuals unite with their families and friends to affirm their existence and to highlight their causes. And yes, the parade was exemplary and our representatives were magnificent.
