Hafnarfjörður's Artist in Residence 2024
On the last day of winter, Wednesday 24 April, the City of Hafnarfjörður will appoint the City Artist of Hafnarfjörður for 2024. Applications are invited. applications or substantiated suggestions which the Cultural and Tourism Committee will take into consideration when selecting the town artist. The deadline for nominations is 1 February.
Who will be the 2024 Artist in Residence of Hafnarfjörður?
On the last day of winter, Wednesday 24 April, the City of Hafnarfjörður will appoint the City Artist of Hafnarfjörður for 2024 at a ceremonial event in Hafnarborg. Applications are invited. applications or substantiated suggestions which the Cultural and Tourism Committee will take into consideration when selecting the town artist. Pétur Gautur was the Artist in Residence of Hafnarfjörður in 2023.
The deadline for nominations is 1 February 2024.
Only artists with a permanent residence in Hafnarfjörður are considered for the award, based on their registered address for the last 12 months. The 2024 Artist in Residence of Hafnarfjörður will receive 1.5 million króna. Applications and suggestions should be submitted to online form on the Hafnarfjörður website or by email to menning@hafnarfjordur.is
