The gymnastics club Björk is organising a fundraising appeal.

Today, the gymnastics club Björk is holding a fundraising event where athletes, coaches and other guests will climb ropes to the height of Mount Everest to raise money for a new gymnastics floor. Haraldur L. Haraldsson, the mayor, challenged ten athletes to make a total of 30 trips, with 100,000 króna for each trip. The athletes easily met the challenge, and the mayor presented the club with a total of 3 million króna for the fundraiser, matching the pledges that had already been received.

The current floor is 13 years old, but the development and renewal in gymnastics floors has been significant during this time. Everest Day is a fun family day where guests visit the gymnastics club Björk. Coffee and refreshments will be on sale to support the cause, and the fundraising appeal continues. The collection's account is 545-14-404371, registration number 550110-1130.
