The school gardens in Hafnarfjörður open on Monday, 1st June. The gardens are located in five places across the town: in Setberg, Holt, Öldutún, Víðistaðir and Völlunum.

Priority for children aged 7-12 has now ended, and all residents aged 7 and over can therefore apply for a plot in the school gardens. The idea is to foster a good family atmosphere in the gardens. Everyone will be allocated two plots, one for vegetables and another for potatoes, and the rent is 4,600 kr over the summer.

From 1st June to 5th June, the gardens will be open from 13:00 to 17:00. From 11th June, the gardens will be open from 8:30 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 16:30. Subject to change.
