„Home is where the heart is.“
Last weekend, the exhibition „Home is Where the Heart Is“ opened in the main hall of the Hafnarfjörður Library.
The project is a collaboration with the City of Hafnarfjörður and focuses on women's experiences of the concept of home, across nationalities. All the participating women have in common having been on the move and maintained a home in more than one country, and the exhibition focuses on the concept of time, space, and what it means to be at home.

Twelve women, under the guidance of the artists Anna Maria Cornette and Gillian Pokalo, have designed clocks made with a combination of silk-screen printing, acrylic and pen on plywood. The works, along with reflections on image selection, now adorn the library's windows. Alongside these works are also clocks that were made in the United States and Reykjanesbær when the workshops were first held in collaboration with Heimskonur in Reykjanesbær.
The exhibition runs until 3rd September and everyone is very welcome.
