Hörðuvellir 80 years
Hörðuvellir Nursery School, by the stream in Hafnarfjörður, is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year and, to mark the occasion, a birthday party was held at the school today.
The Hörðuvellir nursery school, by the Lækinn in Hafnarfjörður, is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year and, to mark the occasion, a birthday party was held at the school today. The school began operating in 1935, although for two years prior to that, summer activities were held there. The school was originally founded by the town's working women.
The children and staff of the school had prepared many things for the occasion of the anniversary, including inviting guests for a visit and then singing for them today.
The town wishes the staff and children of the school a happy birthday.
