Hot water supply closures in Hafnarfjörður
On Wednesday, 24th August, repairs will be carried out on a main for Veitur's district heating system at Fjarðarhraun in Hafnarfjörður. The public are advised to turn off all hot water taps to reduce the risk of an accident or damage when the water is restored.
On Wednesday, 24th August, repairs will be carried out on a main heat supply pipe belonging to Veitur at Fjarðarhraun in Hafnarfjörður. Due to this, there will be no hot water from 9:00 tomorrow morning and throughout the day in the industrial estate east of Fjarðarhraun, including the part that belongs to Garðabær. Reduced pressure may be experienced on the hot water supply in Hraunum and in the North and West boroughs.
In the neighbourhoods south of the stream – Setberg and the town centre – there will be no disruption to the hot water supply. Residents are advised to turn off all hot water taps to reduce the risk of accidents or damage when the water is restored.
