Hundreds on International Star Wars Day
Hafnarfjörður Library was buzzing with life over the weekend to mark International Star Wars Day. The library is a true home for the adventures. An even bigger festival, Worlds and Heavens, will be held there for the second time this autumn.
The 501st at the library
Over 500 guests were at Hafnarfjörður Library when the 501st Legion paid a visit on Saturday. The occasion was May the 4th, International Star Wars Day. The mood was one of great joy, and it was a delight to have guests from a galaxy far, far away!
This is not the first time the unit has made itself at home at the library. Thousands attended when it was at the 'Heimum og himingeimum' festival, which was held for the first time at the library at the beginning of September last year. That festival was such a success that it will be repeated this autumn.
Costume Workshop 17 May
It's fun to play, and we're never too old for it. Now, on the 17th of May, you can start preparing for the autumn. Monthly Kit and Cosplay workshops run up until the festival.
Sewing machines and everything you need on site. Pattern assistance and proper tables for cutting fabric, fun and company for everyone who plans to look ridiculously cool at Heimum og Himingeimum in August!
Yes, our library is home to worlds of adventure.
