We celebrate culture and togetherness in Hafnarfjörður with a varied programme throughout the summer! Walks, art, music, a family atmosphere and fun events will fill the town from June to August – events for all ages, all around the town and under the open sky.
Whether you're planning an event or want to keep up with what's on – summer 2026 is the time to enjoy Hafnarfjörður in all its glory. The programme will be published in a summer brochure, which will be delivered to homes in Hafnarfjörður at the end of May, but events will also be updated regularly here on the website.
Would you like to take part? Those who intend to organise an event are encouraged to get in touch and send information to the email address. menning@hafnarfjordur.is as soon as possible.
Make the most of the Experience Houses at Thorsplan! We also offer the opportunity to use the glasshouses at the edge of Thorsplan for festive events, product launches and services. The houses can be booked via hafnarfjordur@hafnarfjordur.is. They need to be returned in top condition, just as the houses were when they were received.
