Engidalsskóli is looking to hire part-time school and leisure assistants for the after-school club Álfakot.0% Support with a child
Engidalsskóli runs an after-school club for children aged 6 to 9. The aim of the after-school club is to give children and young people the opportunity to take part in creative and developmental social activities in a healthy environment, on an equal basis.
The role involves supporting a child in the school's after-school club. Working hours are from 13:00 to 16:00.
Engidalsskóli was founded in 1978. The school is small and cosy, attended by pupils in Years 1-7, with around 200 pupils. The school's guiding principles are Responsibility – Respect – Well-being.

Key responsibilities and duties:
- Working at an after-school club for younger pupils
- Support for a child
- Working with a diverse student group
- Assisting in the dining hall and with meal preparation.
- Supervise and assist children in play and activities.
- Other tasks as specified in the job description for school and leisure assistants, and as assigned to the employee by their supervisor.
Educational and competency requirements:
- Experience in a similar role is an advantage.
- Interest in professional work with children
- Good knowledge of Icelandic
- Collaboration and communication skills
- Independent and organised work methods
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances
A clean criminal record is a condition.
