The Office Manager works closely with the management on a variety of tasks in a challenging and ambitious working environment. The Office Manager acts as the assistant to the Headteacher for the general running of the school and works closely with the school's management team.
Setbergsskóli was founded in 1989 and has around 430 pupils, in addition to which a special unit for children with autism operates at the school.

Key responsibilities and duties:
- Oversees and is responsible for the daily running of the office and is responsible for the school's communications with its visitors.
- Administration of employment contracts and liaison with the payroll department.
- Supervision of working hours and staff management.
- Overseeing student registration, absence recording and the management of absences.
- Responsible for the organisation and management of records management.
- Manages orders for various materials necessary for the school's operations.

Educational and competency requirements:
- A university degree relevant to the role (BA/BS/BEd degree).
- Interest in human resources-related projects.
- Excellent knowledge and experience of office work.
- Very good computer skills.
- Knowledge of Core and Workstation is an advantage.
- Very good Icelandic skills, both spoken and written.
- Flexibility and the ability to work under pressure.
- Initiative, independence in working methods and organisational skills.
- Positivity and a will to succeed in work.
- Agility in communication and ability to collaborate.
- Punctuality and conscientiousness.
A clean criminal record is required.

Remuneration is in accordance with the collective agreement between the Association of Icelandic Local Authorities and the relevant trade union.
