We are looking for cheerful and positive staff for summer supply cover in the nursery schools of Hafnarfjörður. 

The period of employment can vary, typically from mid-May to late August. The nurseries of the City of Hafnarfjörður will be closed from 13 July to and including 3 August.

Key responsibilities and duties:

• Works in nursery education and childcare.
• Participates in nursery and after-school activities within the nursery and other activities that take place during the school day.
• Other duties as described in the job description

Educational and competency requirements:

• Experience of nursery work or other work with children is an advantage.
• Interest in professional work with children
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Autonomy in working methods
• Good Icelandic skills, A2 language standard ETM Self-Assessment Framework (coe.int)

The condition is that the person has a clean criminal record and is 18 years of age or older. 

Further information about the jobs is provided by the headteachers of each nursery school.

Remuneration is in accordance with the collective agreement between the Association of Icelandic Local Authorities and the relevant trade union.
