Kaldárselsvegur – closures due to roadworks on 7 May
Third closure on Tuesday, 7th May. The plan is to resurface a section of road from the roundabout at Elliðavatnsveg up to the old Kaldárselsveg, see map. A diversion will be in place via Hvaleyrarvatnsveg, past the stables and the woodland. Signage will be put up in the area. The closure is expected to be in place from midday until late afternoon.
Due to asphalting works on Kaldárselsveg, there will be disruption to traffic in the area due to closures of road sections, which are marked on the overview map. Traffic disruption due to the closures will affect the following streets, although at different times:
- Kaldárselsvegur
- Elliðavatnsvegur
- Brekkuás
- Rocky slope

The construction site will not be closed in its entirety at the same time, but further information about the phased closures will be announced closer to the time of the works.
