Public Health Walks in September – JOIN IN!
The Icelandic Touring Club (FÍ), in collaboration with the Healthy City of Hafnarfjörður, are offering public health walks every Wednesday in September. These are family-friendly walks which take approximately 60-90 minutes and are primarily intended to encourage people to get out into nature and be active in good company, thereby improving their health and quality of life.

The public health walks in Hafnarfjörður in September will be as follows:
- Wednesday, 4 September at 6 p.m. Food tour of the city centre. Tryggvi Rafnsson leads guests
between several carefully selected restaurants where the owners will present their businesses
their own and even offer a tasting. The walk will depart from Hafnarfjörður Church at 6 p.m. - Wednesday, 11 September at 6 p.m. A family walk around Lake Hvaleyrarvatn. The Sports Elf will lead a family walk around
Hvaleyravatn. Fun exercises and challenges for the youngest walkers. The walk
will depart from the car park north of the lake at 6 p.m. - Wednesday, 18 September at 6 p.m. A history walk around Grindavík. Jónatan Garðarsson leads a walk up Arnarfell in
Krysuvík. The walk will start from the church in Krysuvík at 6 p.m. - Wednesday, 25th September at 8 p.m. An adventure walk for young people. An adventure walk for young people in the local area around youth centres. The walk
will be away from all Hafnarfjörður primary school youth clubs and from
at the youth centre Hamrinn at 8 p.m.
