Maintenance is being carried out on the new production line at SORPU's reception and sorting centre, which will last until Sunday, 13 December. Work to be carried out includes sealing between conveyor belts, floating the floors to prevent the collection of water and waste in puddles, upgrades to the conveyor belts and the control system software, and more. While this work is being carried out, waste is not being accepted from the refuse collection at the processing line, and all waste is therefore being bagged and sent to Álfsnes for landfill during this period. The Kári wind separator is part of the processing line and will likewise be out of operation until 13 December.

SORPA apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.
