This increase has meant that some after-school clubs now have several sites in the schools. Most of the sites have been successfully staffed, but it is still possible to join the team.
The education committee recently approved a by-law on the operation of after-school clubs, which establishes a framework for the activity. The main changes are that it is now possible to contract with a sports club to run an after-school club.
An agreement with Haukar will be signed in the coming days, but the club has already started running an after-school club.
