A short recess was taken.Valdimar Svavarsson spoke and submitted, on behalf of the representatives of the Independence Party, the following motion: “The Town Councillors of the Independence Party express their concern that refinancing for the town's loan to Depfa Bank, amounting to 4.3 billion, which is due tomorrow, 7th April 2011, has not yet been secured.  The outcome of these matters will have a significant impact on the municipality's financial position and its future relations with creditors. In addition, a capital gains tax of approximately 800 million krónur, which was due in November 2010, has become payable. Both of these matters need to be resolved immediately and successfully for the town's finances.“
