• 1410024 – Arnarhraun 50, detailed plan.

  Item 6 from the minutes of the SKB meeting of 7 April. The application from Ás Support Association for an amendment to the site's detailed plan, which the Planning and Building Committee authorised, was considered. The planning proposal dated 12.12.14 was advertised in accordance with Article 43 of the Planning Act No. 123/2010. The consultation period has closed, and comments have been received. $line$Skipulags- og byggingarráð approved that a shadow study be carried out on the plot. A shadow study has been received. A proposal from the Planning and Building Department for responses to the comments received was presented. The Planning and Building Committee endorses the responses to the comments and adopts them as its own. The Planning and Building Committee approves the detailed plan and that its processing will be concluded in accordance with Article 42 of the Planning Act 123/2010. $line$The Planning and Building Committee makes the following proposal to the City Council: “The Hafnarfjörður Town Council approves the amendment to the detailed plan for the plot at Arnarhraun 50 and that the matter be concluded in accordance with Article 42 of the Planning Act 123/2010.“

• 1503437 – The Vocational School in Hafnarfjörður and the Technical School, merger

  Item 1 from the minutes of the BÆJH meeting of 13 April. Taken up again. Ársæll Guðmundsson, representative of the Ministry of Education and Culture, attended the meeting and presented the matter.$line$$line$B The Town Council refers the matter to the Town Board for discussion.$line$

  Rósa Guðbjartsdóttir took the floor and put forward the following resolution:$line$“The Hafnarfjörður Town Council expresses concern about the future of the Hafnarfjörður Vocational School in light of the discussions now underway regarding a possible merger with the Technical College. The Vocational School plays an important role in the educational community of Hafnarfjörður and serves not only the many young people from Hafnarfjörður who study there, but also students from other parts of the capital region and from all over the country. The Hafnarfjörður Town Council places great emphasis on the importance of a diverse range of further education, particularly vocational training, in the municipality, and requests information and consultation regarding the future of the Hafnarfjörður Vocational School. The town council emphasises that the operations of the Hafnarfjörður Vocational School will continue in the town.“Adda María Jóhannsdóttir also spoke. The Hafnarfjörður Town Council approved the motion with 11 unanimous votes.

• 1502214 – Marketing Agency of Hafnarfjörður

  Item 3 from the minutes of the BÆJH meeting of 13 April: A proposal regarding the Marketing Bureau of Hafnarfjörður was taken up for discussion. “The Town Council supports the preparatory group's proposal for the establishment of a Marketing Office for Hafnarfjörður, which was set up following an open meeting on the matter at Hafnarborg on 17th March. The proposals include a six-month preparatory phase, during which the operations will be defined, participants for the project will be recruited, and the first projects will be launched. By the end of the year, the Marketing Agency will be formally established on the basis of the preparatory work. $line$Burgeon is tasked with working with the group on the preparatory phase, and the Town Council agrees to instruct the Mayor to make a proposal on how the Municipality of Hafnarfjörður can support the project with a financial contribution for a project manager and office space during the preparatory phase. the preparatory phase. $line$Beyarráð will continue to be kept informed of the project's progress.“$line$

  Guðlaug Kristjánsdóttir took the floor and put forward the following motion:$line$“The Hafnarfjörður Town Council welcomes the diverse anniversary programme for the 100th anniversary of women's suffrage that is now being presented, a programme which emphasises democratic participation and equality issues in their broadest sense. $line$The City Council also agrees to honour the memory and history of the women who paved the way by erecting a memorial plaque in the grove at Siggubær.“ $line$$line$Meanwhile, First Vice-Chair Gudrun Agusta Gudmundsdottir took the chair. • 1504199 – Relativity in the primary schools of Hafnarfjörður

  The following proposal was put forward: “Representatives of the Social Democratic Party propose to the City Council that an initiative be launched to enhance queer education and counselling in Hafnarfjörður's primary schools.„ The City of Hafnarfjörður will seek to enter into a partnership agreement with the organisation “78" for the development of curriculum material for all year groups of the lower secondary school, from 1st to 10th grade, and for the organisation's specialists to hold courses for all staff of Hafnarfjörður's lower secondary schools. Pupils in the upper years of the primary school will likewise be able to access individual counselling from the Organisation's specialists free of charge."

  Item no. 6 from the BÆJH minutes of 13 April. Applications for the plot at Kirkjuvellir 12 were taken for consideration. The legal counsel for social services attended the meeting and narrowed down the valid applications. The Town Council refers the following proposal to the Municipal Council:“The City Council of Hafnarfjörður approves the allocation of the plot at Kirkjuvellir 12 to Fjarðarmótar ehf, in accordance with the application on file and the further conditions of the City's Planning and Building Officer.“

  Guðrún Ágústa Guðmundsdóttir took the floor, Ólafur Ingi Tómasson intervened with a response, Guðrún Ágústa Guðmundsdóttir replied to the response, Ólafur Ingi Tómasson intervened with a response a second time. The City Council of Hafnarfjörður approved the proposal with 11 unanimous votes.

• 1504198 – Town Council, dismissal from office

  A letter from Guðrún Ágústa Guðmundsdóttir, dated 15 April 2015, is presented, in which she requests to be relieved of her duties as an elected councillor from 30 April until the end of the term of office.

  No comments were made on the above proposal, and it is considered approved. The Chair thanked Guðrún Ágústa Guðmundsdóttir for her collaboration and her work on behalf of the town council.

• Annual accounts of the Town Fund of Hafnarfjörður and its enterprises 2014

  Item 2 from the minutes of the Finance Committee meeting of 13 April. Draft annual accounts for the municipal fund of Hafnarfjörður and its enterprises for 2014 were presented.The Finance Manager attended the meeting and went over the annual accounts. The Town Council refers the current draft of the annual accounts to a first reading in the Town Council.

  Mayor Haraldur L. Haraldsson took the floor, followed by Guðrún Ágústa Guðmundsdóttir, Rósa Guðbjartsdóttir and Adda María Jóhannsóttir. The Hafnarfjörður City Council approved, by 11 unanimous votes, to refer the annual accounts to a later discussion.
