  1. General presentations

    • 2212081 – Action plan of the Culture and Tourism Committee 2022-2025

      A discussion was held on an action plan for culture and tourism, based on the comprehensive strategic planning for Hafnarfjörður and data from open consultation meetings convened by the Culture and Tourism Committee in the autumn.

      The project manager reviewed a draft action plan and has been tasked with continuing to work on it in consultation with directors and other staff of cultural institutions.

    • 2212080 – Artist in Residence 2023

      Review of the preparations for the selection of the 2023 Artist in Residence for Hafnarfjörður.

      Draft notice approved and the project manager tasked with taking the matter forward.

    • 2212079 – Cultural Grants 2023

      Review the preparations for the previous cultural grant allocation in 2023.

      The project manager is to advertise for applications for cultural grants at the beginning of January.

    • 2209429 – The Christmas Village 2022

      Discussion on the implementation of the Christmas Village and related events.

      The Culture and Tourism Committee is pleased to hear about the large number of visitors to the Christmas town of Hafnarfjörður, and reminds everyone that the deadline for submitting nominations for the best Christmas decorations is Sunday, 11 December.

    • 1702065 – Hafnarfjörður Theatre Society, premises

      A proposal from the Leikfélag Hafnarfjarðar regarding the society's premises was presented.

    • 2212082 – Facilities for artistic creation in Hafnarfjörður, an inquiry from the Social Democratic Party

      A question was raised regarding facilities for artistic creation in Hafnarfjörður.

      The project manager has been tasked with preparing a memorandum on facilities for artistic creation in accordance with the submitted query.
