The committee members agree on the following: $line$$line$1. To delete the provision that allows the City of Hafnarfjörður to lease the premises to a third party. „It was not our intention to deprive the National Film Archive of Iceland of the income it derives from letting out the premises. Our primary concern is to increase activity in the premises, as has in fact been repeatedly stated in our meetings with the Ministry of Education and the management of the Film Archive. We do, however, welcome the fact that the Film Archive views the rental of its premises as an important source of income, and we trust that the Film Archive will endeavour to let the premises for cultural activities, as the interests of all parties align on this matter. We also believe that sufficient reasons have been given for the National Film Archive of Iceland to be the contracting party, and not the Ministry of Education.“In accordance with the aforementioned conclusions, a new two-year agreement has been drawn up, which has been approved by the committee. The agreement was referred to the town council for approval.
