• 11022053 – Operational review

  Haraldur Líndal Haraldsson attended the meeting and went over the operational review for Setbergs- and Víðistaðaskóli.

  The Education Committee thanks Harald for his review of the evaluation.The Education Committee refers the report to the Director for further review. The Director is also tasked with presenting a plan for streamlining the operation of the town's primary schools at the next meeting of the Committee. The Education Committee intends to hold a series of meetings on financial and professional matters in the primary schools.;

  Resuming from the last council meeting, answers were presented to a query from the Independence Party regarding nursery fees.

  The observers Maria Kristjánsdóttir, deputy head of the nursery, and Þuríður Valgeirsdóttir, staff representative at the nursery, left the meeting at 10:20.Other observers regarding the nursery school left the meeting at 10:30.;

• 1101162 – Hraunvallar School, Headteacher

  The Director of Education presented their decision following a review of applications and interviews with candidates for the position of Headteacher of Hraunvallar School.

  A letter was presented from the Head of Department, in which he reports on the review of applications, resulting in the decision to appoint Lars Jóhann Imsland as Headteacher of Hraunvallaskóli.

  The Education Committee thanks the Director of Education and his colleagues in the education department for their excellent work and welcomes Lars Jóhann Imsland to the post.
