Kynntar niðurstöður rýnihópavinnu á vegum Velferðarvaktarinnar vegna atvinnumála ungs fólks. Einnig lögð fram samantekt félagsþjónustu á styrkþegum frá 1. ág. 2008 – nóvemberloka 2009 og hve mikill hluti heildarfjöldans er á aldrinum 18-25 ára.

  The Family Council agrees to begin targeted strategic planning to develop resources for young, unemployed residents of Hafnarfjörður. The detailed arrangements for the work will be defined for the council's next meeting.;

• 0703031 – Prevention matters

  The prevention officer presented a new smoking survey and a planned New Year's campaign.

  The Family Council welcomes that, according to this survey, half as many retailers are selling tobacco to underage children compared to the previous survey. The Family Council therefore calls on prevention officers to ensure that tobacco sales surveys are carried out more frequently and on a more regular basis than has been the case to date.;

  A representative of the Independence Party requests that the following be recorded:

  A representative of the Independence Party strongly welcomes that Neighbour Watch has been launched in Hafnarfjörður for the benefit of the town's residents. At the same time, it is regretted that the proposal from the Independence Party representative of 7th October regarding Neighbour Watch was not formally dealt with by the Family Council, as requested, before the project was launched and advertised in the local papers, as requested.Such practices do not constitute good governance.

  Statement by the representative of the Social Democratic Alliance:

  It is gratifying that the neighbourhood watch project has been brought onto a good footing. The booking of the Independence Party's representative on good governance is, however, incomprehensible in light of the fact that the project was already well underway before the matter came before the Family Council.

  A proposal from the Appeals Committee regarding the 2009 December payments was presented.

  The Family Board approves the recommendation of the Appeals Committee.;

  A letter from the Icelandic Youth Association, dated 10 November, was presented, reporting on the proposals from the 46th General Assembly of the Icelandic Youth Association.

  The annual report of the Disabled People's Association of Iceland for 2008-2009 was presented for information.
