 A proposal from the Cancer Society of Hafnarfjörður, dated 2nd February, was presented, requesting a partnership to combat tobacco use among children and young people.
 
 The Family Council welcomes the proposal and refers it to the prevention officer.;

 A contract was presented between the Employment Service and the City of Hafnarfjörður for the establishment and operation of a job centre in Hafnarfjörður.

 <SPAN style=“FONT-FAMILY: “ 10pt? A representative of the Independence Party expresses reservations about the Family Council's proposal to ban underage children from visiting amusement arcades. It is not clear whether there is a legal basis for banning children over the age of 14 from entering premises that do not hold a food and drink licence. The definition of amusement arcades needs to be carefully examined.;
