Tekin fyrir eftirfarandi tillaga sem samþykkt var í Fræðsluráði 14. mars sl.: „Fræðsluráð samþykkir að lausar kennslustofur, sem nú standa við Hjallabraut verði fluttar á lóð leikskóla við Hraunvallaskóla, og nýttar þar sem viðbót við leikskóla Hraunvallaskóla frá og með næsta skólaári. Jafnframt verði felld úr gildi fyrri samþykkt um að flytja húsin á grunn leikskólalóðar við Bjarkavelli. Fræðsluráð fer þess á leit við framkvæmdasvið að hefja nauðsynlegan undirbúning að flutningi húsanna og skipulags- og byggingasvið að vinna að breyttu deiliskipulagi vegna þessa. “%0D
The Executive Committee refers the matter to the Town Council with regard to funding, approved by 3 votes, the representatives of the Independence Party abstained. MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 10pt“ class=MsoNormal>
The representatives of the Independence Party welcome the fact that the coalition of the Social Democrats and the Left-Green Party saw sense and began to look at other options, as the Independence Party has repeatedly pointed out. We nevertheless believe that not all options have yet been explored in this matter, and we draw attention to the Independence Party's proposal to the Education Committee to investigate what options are available regarding the use of school premises generally in the town to meet the growing need for housing in specificcated areas. We also point out that space on the school grounds is very limited and improvements to the play areas at the school have already been requested. It would therefore have been correct to obtain a formal response from the Hraunvallaskóli school community before work on the local plan and preparation for the works begins. We cannot therefore support this proposal, as not all options have yet been considered, and we urge the majority to seek further solutions with greater cost-effectiveness in mind.
Representatives of the Social Democratic Party and the Left-Green Party point out that a consultation and comment process takes place when dealing with a revised detailed plan or a local notice on the Hraunvallar school site.
