Part A of building permits

• 1108289 – Móhella 4A-4E. building permit

  The Móhella 4A-4E Landowners' Association, registration no. 691104-2810, on 29 August 2011 applies for a permit to, among other things, remove smoke detectors in accordance with drawings by Kristinn Ragnarsson, registration no. 120944-2669.

  The Planning and Building Officer approves the building plans in accordance with Article 11 of the Building Regulations No. 160/2010. A building permit will be issued once the conditions of paragraphs 1-4 of Article 13 of the Building Regulations have been fulfilled.

• 1108025 – Bæjarhraun 24, alteration

  Vörumerking ehf applied on 04.08.2011 for a licence to install a door in the stairwell and alter the interior of an office, in accordance with drawings by Ágúst Þórðarson dated 04.08.2011 26.08.2011. A statement was received from Hámlar Ltd. agreeing to the works.

  The Planning and Building Officer approves the application in accordance with Article 11 of the Buildings Act no. 160/2010.

• 1108324 – Hraunkambur 9, alteration

  On 30 August 2011, Birgir Gunnarsson and Guðmundur Þ Tómasson requested the installation of a bay window on the east side of the house and a wind catcher at the entrance on the second floor, in accordance with drawings by Árni Jón Sigfússon dated 3 May 2011.

  The Planning and Building Officer approves the building plans in accordance with Article 11 of the Building Regulations No. 160/2010. A building permit will be issued once the conditions of paragraphs 1-4 of Article 13 of the Building Regulations have been fulfilled.

Part B: Organisational Matters

• 1108269 – Álfaskeið 59. Kofi outside the grounds.

  Coffee off the premises.

  The planning and building officer requires the owner of the cabin to remove it within 4 weeks.

• 1108270 – Holtabyggð 1. Planting box and tree planting.

  Holtabyggð 1. Planting box and tree planting on the town's land.

  The Planning and Building Officer requires the owner of the planter and the trees to remove them within 4 weeks.

• 0811062 – Hólabraut 15, unauthorised development

  The letter from the Homeowners' Association dated 04.11.08 regarding unauthorised works by Jón Karl Grétarsson on the first floor of the house was taken up again. Repeated notices from the planning and building officer had gone unheeded, who, at a meeting on 11 December 2008, decided that if the comments were not addressed or the alterations removed within one month, he would recommend to the Planning and Building Board that daily fines be imposed in accordance with Chapter VI of the Planning and Building Act. As the development is a breach of the Planning and Building Act and the Act on Multiple Ownership, the Planning and Building Board made a proposal to the Town Council for a daily fine of kr. 50,000 on the owner of flat 1. floor of the house of kr. 50,000 per day from and including 1 October, if the illegal works had not been removed by that time. The town council approved this on 01.09.2009. Previously submitted email from Björn Þorri Viktorsson, solicitor, dated 22.09.2009 on behalf of the owner. Daily fines have been imposed on the owner, but as it had not been possible to serve that decision on the owner, the planning and building officer decided on 23.09.2009 to postpone the matter. Nothing has happened in the matter yet. On 4 November 2009, the Planning and Building Officer gave the owner two weeks to respond. After that time, daily fines would be imposed if nothing had been done in the matter. Nothing further has happened in the matter, and a daily fine was approved from 1 March last. The property is now owned by the Housing Finance Authority.

  The planning and building officer requires the new owner, the Housing Finance Authority, to remove the illegal structures within four weeks of the date of the meeting.

• 1108310 – Fífuvellir 4, conversion of a detached house into a semi-detached house

  Jón Óskar Agnarsson submitted an enquiry on 30.08.2011, requesting permission to convert a detached house into a semi-detached house on the plot. See attached documents.

  The Planning and Building Officer refers the matter to the Planning and Building Committee.

• 1012039 – Óseyrarbraut 29 - 31, layout

  Consideration of the layout of the plots at Óseyrarbraut 29–31. Alark's proposal for an amendment to the detailed plan for Suðurhöfn, dated. 090611 was approved by the Harbour Board on 16.06.11, was advertised on 18.07.11 in accordance with section 43 of the Planning Act, and the consultation period has now closed. No comments were received.

  The Planning and Building Officer refers the matter to the Planning and Building Committee.

• 1105399 – Bjarkavellir 1a, 1b and 1c local plan amendment.

  A letter from Gudlaugur Adolfsson on behalf of Valhúsa námsmannaíbúða ehf, dated 19.05.11, was presented, enquiring about a change to the local plan from student accommodation to small, affordable flats for the general market.

  The Planning and Building Officer refers the matter to the Planning and Building Committee.

• 1108303 – Laufvangur 2, enquiry

  Guðni Kristjánsson submits an enquiry on 29/08/2011, requesting a balcony enclosure for flat 0101. See attached documents.

  The Planning and Building Officer is deferring the matter. Please see the attached comments.

• 1108286 – Sorlaskeið 34-36, Zoning Plan Amendment

  Thórður K. Kristjánsson and Sigurður Ingvarsson apply on 26 August 2011 for a change to the detailed plan for Sörlaskeið 34 and Sörlaskeið 36, in accordance with drawings by Friðrik Friðriksson.

  Deferred. The Planning and Building Officer requests amended documents. See attached comments.

• 1108263 – Álhella 3, working drawings

  On 25 August 2011, Geymslusvæðið ehf submitted test drawings of Álhellu 3, in accordance with drawings by Kjartan Rafnsson dated 1 June 2011.

  The Planning and Building Officer has deferred the matter as the submitted documents are insufficient. Please see the attached comments.
