      Taken up again. A report dated 8 June 2009 was submitted.

      The preparatory group on traffic matters endorses the report from the Executive Department but proposes that a no-entry sign be installed on the slope leading to the monastery.;

    • 0807125 – Wave Route 38, speeding

      To be taken up again.

      The wave path is a 30 km road. Measurements do not indicate that any action is required at present.

      Preparatory group on transport issues rejects the request.;

    • 0709176 – Hvaleyrarbraut - speed bump

      To be taken up again.

      The preparatory group on traffic matters agrees that a speed hump will be installed on Hvaleyrarbraut by Miklaholt. The Operations Department is tasked with considering a more precise location for the next meeting.;

    • 0804012 – Stekkjarhvammur, detailed plan

      Taken up.

      The preparatory group on traffic issues opposes increasing the number of parking spaces, as only three spaces are needed to reach the target of two spaces per flat. Today there are 116 spaces in the area, according to a survey by the Department of Planning and Construction.

  • 0903055 – Fjarðargata 17 - traffic safety

    The house association's submission of 3 March 2009 regarding the marked footpath opposite the entrance to the building is presented.

    The transport working group rejects the proposal but suggests that a residential street sign be installed on the street by the house.;

  • 0903206 – Police traffic speed measurements in Hafnarfjörður in spring 2009

    The police in Hafnarfjörður presented traffic speed measurements.

    The preparatory group on traffic matters refers the matter for presentation to the Planning and Building Committee.;

  • 0904146 – Suðurbraut, speed bumps

    A request from residents of Suðurbraut, received on 21 April 2009, asks for speed bumps to be installed on Suðurbraut and the maximum speed limit to be reduced.

    A preparatory group on traffic matters proposes that a speed hump be installed where the marked pedestrian crossing is opposite 10-12 Suðurbraut. Referred to the budget.;

  • 0904145 – Einiberg 11, noise measurement

    A request from Jón Björgvinsson, dated 14 April 2009, is presented, requesting noise measurements at his house.

    The Transport Preparatory Group refers the matter to the Executive Department for consideration.;

  • 0904148 – Hlíðarás - speed hump

    A submission from Hallveig D. Sigurgeirsdóttir, dated 16 April 2009, has been presented, requesting that speed bumps be installed as soon as possible, as shown on the detailed plan.

    Preparatory group on traffic matters approves a hump in the narrowing at Kvistavelli and refers further implementation of speed-reducing measures to the budget.;

    A proposal was submitted by Landslag on 6 May 2009 for a footpath opposite Linnetsstíg.

    The Transport Working Group approves the proposal and refers the matter to the Planning and Building Committee.;

    A submission from Hildur S. Guðmundsdóttir, dated 26 May 2009, requesting a speed bump in the street.

    The preparatory group on transport refers the matter to the budget.;

    A letter from Bjarki Sverrisson, dated 22 May 2009, regarding speeding in Thrastaras was presented.

    A preparatory group on traffic matters proposes that speed be measured in this area.;

  • 0906067 – Blomvangur – traffic safety

    A letter from the Forvarnarhús, dated 26 May 2009, regarding an accident on a path at Blómvangur was presented.

    Yellow stones have been laid to slow down traffic on the path where it approaches Blómvangur.;

  • 0906064 – Furuvellir, traffic safety

    A submission from Rúnar Snæland, dated 28th May 2009, regarding a request for speed bumps in the street, was presented.

    The preparatory group for traffic matters rejects the proposal, pointing out that an obstruction is planned at Furuvelli 13.;

  • 0906068 – East Road - traffic safety

    Addressing the reader's letter from Axel E. Guðnason in the Fjallarpósturinn of 4 June 2009. Traffic measurements dated 6 November 2008 were presented, showing a maximum speed of 31 km/h and an average speed of 24 km/h.

    The Transport Working Group refers the matter to the planned planning work on the expansion of the library. Referred to the Planning and Building Committee.;
